Amer Rashid - Sacramento

Amer W. Rashid (he/him) serves as the Legislative Advocate for the County Behavioral Health Directors Association of California (CBHDA). He grew up in Fresno, CA and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Whittier College. After completing his Bachelors, Amer moved to Sacramento as a Capitol Fellow in the Office of Assembly Majority Leader Reyes. Here, and as an alumnus of both the Social Inclusion Policy Fellowship and the Asian Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus Institute, he has gained critical insight into policy and the legislative process. Amer has further engaged himself in California’s Capitol community by previously serving on the board of the Arab American Caucus within the California Democratic Party. He is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Sacramento Chapter.
