Abraham Mendoza III - Sacramento
Abraham Mendoza III (He/El) is a community organizer and antipoverty advocate with experience working in nonprofits, the private sector, and the CA State Legislature. He graduated in 2017 with a B.A in Social Work & a Graduate Certificate in Applied Policy & Government from CSU Sacramento.
Born and raised in the southern San Joaquin Valley, Abraham became aware of the social determinants of health from an early age. He remembers living with contaminated drinking water as a child in South Hanford, CA and credits these formative experiences with driving his passion for socioeconomic justice. As Senior Policy Advocate with Community Water Center he now works to ensure that ALL Californians have access to safe, clean, & affordable drinking water.
Abraham is proud of his family's campesino heritage. In his free time he enjoys gardening, karaoke, trying new recipes and shooting street photography.
