Victorian Mattar

Guided by her core beliefs of service, justice, and human dignity. Victorian is a LGBTQ activist and working in the intersection of finance, data science, and progressive organizing. Her background includes fundraising on behalf of political candidates at the federal and municipal level as well as campaign organizing on behalf of Human Rights Campaign and the American Civil Liberties Union. Victorian is passionate about empowering others, with an emphasis on those from historically marginalized and underserved communities. She is an active volunteer and committed stakeholder in the Monmouth County LGBTQ caucus and Garden State Equality. As a graduate of the LGBT Victory Institute's Candidate and Campaign training program, Victorian is a loud and credible voice for greater LGBTQ representation in politics at all levels of government. Victorian studied Math and Computer Science at McGill University, Applied Mathematics at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and will complete her bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Thomas Edison State University in early 2020. Born and raised in Monmouth County by the Jersey Shore, Victorian is committed to moving Monmouth County and Central New Jersey forward towards a more equitable future. She is an expert snowboarder, and she is enjoying participating in the Asbury Park LBGTQ book club.
