Tychanika J. “Tycha” Kimbrough is an advocate for justice and social change. Tycha is an Associate Attorney at Hendler Flores Law, an acclaimed plaintiff’s trial firm. Tycha’s practice areas include mesothelioma, wrongful death, and civil rights. As a licensed Texas attorney, Tycha is a fearless, knowledgeable, and passionate advocate who commits to going above and beyond to serve her clients.

Tycha obtained her Juris Doctor degree and Professional Certificates in Criminal Law and Family Law from Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. Baylor Law is nationally recognized for its outstanding trial advocacy program. Tycha earned her Bachelor of Public Administration Degree, with high honors, from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.

While pursuing her law degree, Tycha interned for the Honorable Judge Hoffman at the 68th Judicial District Court, the Honorable Justice Alvarez at the Fourth Court of Appeals, and the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office. Tycha spent many hours volunteering at Greater Waco Legal Services.

Tycha’s community service and pro bono work includes leading voter education and registration drives and advocating for marginalized San Antonio residents with the Neighborhoods First Alliance, serving as a mentor in Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas, volunteering with the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, assisting veterans with their legal needs, and representing low-income individuals in trials and juveniles in detention hearings. Tycha aims to ensure that quality legal assistance is accessible to everyone.

Tycha graduated from Baylor Law as a Public Interest Fellow, a recognition only obtained by completing more than 225 hours of pro bono service. In November 2018, Tycha was recognized as the recipient of a Texas Access to Justice Commission Pro Bono Award for her commitment to serving the underserved.

Tycha dedicates herself to causes geared at uplifting her community. At a young age, Tycha became involved in grassroots community organizing and activism. Tycha is an advocate for protecting civil rights and criminal justice reform. Tycha enjoys networking, traveling, cooking, and blogging.
