Tori Simmons is a litigation attorney at Hill Ward Henderson. Tori is a member of the Commercial Litigation Group and acts as lead and local counsel for litigation matters in federal and state courts throughout Florida. Her practice primarily focuses on complex commercial business matters, including contract and corporate disputes, fraud claims, professional liability, class actions and antitrust disputes.
Tori is actively involved in the community. Tori serves on the Board of Directors of Feeding Tampa Bay, which provides food to the hundreds of thousands of food insecure families in the ten-county area of West Central Florida. Tori also serves on the Board of Directors of Bay Area Legal Services, which provides free civil legal services to low-income Tampa Bay-area residents.
Tori devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono service. Tori represents clients in family law, guardian advocacy, and domestic violence matters through the Bay Area Legal Services Volunteer Lawyers Program and the Domestic Violence Assistance Project. Tori also serves as an attorney ad litem representing teens in foster care in dependency and delinquency proceedings through Crossroads for Florida Kids. Since 2014, Tori has volunteered, along with other Hill Ward Henderson attorneys, at the HELP (Homeless Experience Legal Protection) clinic every Tuesday for two months each year.
Tori is active in several professional associations, including the National Association of Women Lawyers and the Defense Research Institute. Tori has served as a member of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee since 2015, serving as Co-Chair of the Law Firm Subcommittee from 2016 to 2019. Tori was recently appointed as Co-Chair of the Pro Bono Awards Committee.
Tori is originally from Mountain View, Arkansas. She earned her B.A. from the University of Central Arkansas and her J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
