Sydney Rasch is an attorney with Padgett Law Group in Little Rock, AR and practices in the areas of bankruptcy and default. She graduated cum laude from Hendrix College in 2013 with her bachelor's degree in Studio Art. Sydney is a 2019 honor graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the state of Arkansas and the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas.
A native Arkansan, Sydney is a zealous advocate for finding solutions to problems that affect everyday Arkansans. Before attending law school, Sydney worked as a bankruptcy paralegal, where she saw the need for more attorneys to represent those who needed help. In recognition for her work in bankruptcy law during law school, Sydney was the recipient of the American Bankruptcy Institute's Outstanding Student Award. Sydney also received Top Paper Awards in Bankruptcy and Contracts II.
Public service work is also very important to her. Sydney serves as the President of the North Little Rock Friends of Animals, the Treasurer of the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers, a board member for Arkansas Coalition for Reproductive Justice, and is on the Planned Parenthood Advisory Council. She is also a former board member for Friends of Pulaski County CASA. While in law school, Sydney served as the President of OUTLaw, the Vice President of the Student Bar Association, the President of the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers Student Chapter, and the Co-Coordinator for If/When/How.
Sydney is very involved in activism, political campaign work, and the Democratic Party of Arkansas. She worked on the committee that organized the Women's March for Arkansas in 2017, and has helped plan the annual Rally for Reproductive Justice since 2018. She also works with other community organizations that focus on reproductive justice, homelessness (both people and animals), and education issues.
Sydney is an artist and sculptor, a business owner, an award-winning wedding photographer, and was named the top wedding photographer in Little Rock in 2017 by CityVoter. Her work has been published in numerous magazines, blogs, and on the Huffington Post. She has also exhibited work at the New Deal Gallery, the Conway Public Library, and helped paint the Historic Homes of Conway mural in downtown Conway, AR. Sydney loves to travel, and resides in North Little Rock with her fiance, their two dogs, and three cats.
