Stephen Lansing
Public Consulting Group, Senior Healthcare Program Specialist

Stephen Lansing currently works for Public Consulting Group (PCG) as a Senior Healthcare Program Specialist in the New York State Office of Health Insurance Programs (OHIP). In his current role, Stephen’s responsibilities include managing the OHIP-wide Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) process, coordinating data and fiscal analysis of Medicaid programs, and assisting the Executive Deputy Medicaid Director with the New York state budget process.

Stephen is passionate about civil rights, healthcare, education and how these policy areas impact people with disabilities. Prior to his work with OHIP, Stephen worked as a Medicaid Home and Community Based Service Coordinator, a Self-Direction Support Staff for individuals with developmental disabilities, and a Residential Counselor for people with severe and persistent mental illnesses.   

Originally from the Capital District, Stephen graduated from Siena College with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology, before earning a Master of Social Work (MSW), from the University at Albany. He received his licensure in Social Work (LMSW) in 2015 and is currently a doctoral student at the SUNY Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, studying Political Science with a concentration in Policy and Law. His research focuses on disability rights, healthcare policy, and constitutional law. Moving forward, Stephen plans to integrate his academic research, advocacy, and direct care experience to develop policies and laws to protect and serve vulnerable populations.
