Stephanie Melchor is currently a Communications Analyst at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc. In her role, she is responsible for executive speech writing and employee communications among a variety of other communication and marketing materials. Stephanie is a proud alumna of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Latina Leadership Institute - a competitive program aimed at equipping women the skills necessary to be community leaders. Through her dedication to the program, she was selected to serve on the 2020 Latina Leadership Institute Steering Committee where she will be developing curriculum for the future cohort. Stephanie serves on the San Antonio Police Department's Chief's Complaint and Administrative Review Board, a board dedicated to ensuring the balance between the rights of accused officers and the interests of the community. She also serves on the Ronald McDonald House Charities Communications Committee and has partnered with the Fairweather Family Lodge to create a writing group for the chronically homeless women the lodge serves. Stephanie is passionate about racial and gender equity, voter mobilization and prison reform. Overall, she wishes to add value to her community and make positive change in the city of San Antonio.
Stephanie is a graduate from the University of Texas - Pan American where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. She was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, where her parents and brother still reside. Outside of work, she enjoys creating homemade greeting cards with watercolors, getting in an Orangetheory workout, hanging out with friends and family and the occasional Netflix binge.
