Shanice is an Assistant Director of MBA Admissions at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. In this role, she is responsible for recruiting students into five MBA programs in addition to co-managing the strategy for diversity recruitment and initiatives. She is passionate about educational access and college readiness for underrepresented people of color. She began her career in higher education at Spelman College where she increased the enrollment of women of color from Midwestern states by 10% each year while serving as a college counselor for underserved school districts. Since her role at Spelman, she has worked at four other universities in admissions, career services, academic advising and college bridge initiatives. Shanice passionately serves organizations with educational access at the heart of their mission, such as the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, Posse Foundation and the American Field Service (AFS). Shanice is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she works to implement the CAP (College Admissions Process) program for high school students in Dekalb County. In her spare time, Shanice enjoys international travel, reading, and basking in the arts. A native Floridian, Shanice earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin Wallace University and Master of Education in College Student Affairs Administration from The University of Georgia. Shanice resides in East Atlanta with her husband, Kirk.
