Sean Parker
Campaign Manager / Community Organizer

Sean Parker has lived in Nashville most of his life. Born in Buncombe County, NC his early years were spent in the mountains outside of Asheville. Following graduation from Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, TN, he moved to Baltimore, MD.

There he began volunteering with Velocipede Bike Project. Inspired by the organization’s values of community service and environmental stewardship, he joined the board and was eventually elected to serve as president. His time with VBP inspired a lifelong commitment to safe, complete streets and robust, accessible commons.

Upon returning to Nashville, he helped found the Middle Tennessee chapter of Democratic Socialists of America, a community activist organization focused on supporting local frontline parter groups such as Worker’s Dignity, People’s Alliance for Transit, Housing, Employment (PATHE), and Community Oversight Now. He currently serves as the Lead Electoral Organizer for the chapter.

He is passionate about electoral politics, believing we need people both in the streets and in the seats to advance a progressive agenda. He has worked on numerous campaigns and most recently managed a TN state house race.

When he’s not pounding the pavement or making calls for a candidate or cause, you can find Sean trekking some stretch of rural highway on his bicycle or tinkering with a project in his electronics workshop.
