Sarah Lenkay serves as the Program Director for the South Side Thrive Collaborative, a place-based, collective impact initiative. In this role, Sarah convenes and facilitates collaboration amongst a network of more than 40 human service organizations, businesses, and civic leaders to improve housing stability, financial security, and health within Columbus' south side.
Prior to leading the Collaborative, Sarah served as Mid-Ohio Foodbank's Strategic Projects Director where she was responsible for organizing and executing numerous programs, partnerships, and initiatives that addressed food security in Central Ohio. Specifically, Sarah led the development of the Foodbank's fresh food distribution programming, an urban farm social enterprise, and the administration of competitive grant funding to expand low-income communities access to fresh foods.
Sarah is a graduate of The Ohio State University's School of Environment and Natural Resources and also served two years in the AmeriCorps VISTA program.
As an experienced and passionate non-profit professional, Sarah remains committed and steadfast to creating a just and equitable community. In her downtime, Sarah enjoys escaping to the Appalachian foothills to practice her former naturalist skills, yoga, cooking with seasonal produce, and spending time with close friends.
