Saira Bhatti
Constituent Services Representative, U.S. House of Representatives

Saira Bhatti currently serves as a Constituent Services Representative for Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton, focusing on immigration issues and foreign affairs. Her duties include assisting constituents with getting answers on their immigration cases and meeting with concerned individuals who wish to share issues happening in their mother countries that should be on the Congresswoman's radar. Prior to joining Congresswoman Wexton, Saira assisted in flipping the House during the 2018 midterms conducting opposition research for the Democratic Party of Virginia.

She has spent time in Guatemala volunteering in health camps to bring healthcare access to the marginalized indigenous women living in the surrounding villages of Antigua with Humanity First and conducted health surveys on gaps in healthcare that patients were experiencing.

She has also spent time as a freelance writer, as a content writer for Muslim Girl. She has also been published in PopSugar, Hyphen, and the Independent. She continues to write in her spare time and mobilize other young Muslim women to do the same in her community through a women's writing collective called Media Watch under the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Saira is a graduate of George Mason University where she received a Bachelor in Global Affairs and American University where she received a Master in Latin American Studies and Spanish. Saira is passionate about what goes on in the world and loves learning. Having been fascinated with Latin America and its relationship to the U.S., she pursued studying the region and its geopolitics. An Urdu and Spanish speaker, she loves watching telenovelas and Pakistani dramas as she finds so much similarity with her Pakistani culture.

As a young woman of faith, Saira is passionate about interfaith activism and an active member with her mosque. Her hobbies include baking, fitness, reading, and listening to music.
