Rosa Ponce is originally from Arizona, but has lived in Middle TN for over 20 years. For the past few years she has been a volunteer with Workers' Dignity/Dignidad Obrera a worker center that fights wage theft in Nashville. In the past, she has organized with Tennessee Education Association, Statewide Organizing for Community eMpowerment, and the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. The campaigns she has worked on have focused on the rights of workers, safety issues and working conditions.
Currently, she is an organizer for Jobs with Justice on a campaign focused on the ICE raids in Mississippi and an advisor on a political campaign. Rosa's goal in her professional and personal life is to connect people to each other and to information that empowers them to organize their communities and workplaces.
In her spare time she enjoys drinking Thai tea, reading the Labor Notes newsletter, and spending time with her family and friends hiking, and eating at the Farmers' Market.
Rosa loves to network and meet new people and is looking forward to learning and engaging with a diverse group of people.
