Rachel Bowman is the Program Director at For Our Future Ohio, where she manages organizing and electoral programs. She believes that great training will empower progressive change makers to improve our communities.
Rachel got her start in politics in 2011 as an organizer on President Obama's reelection campaign, starting the cycle in Nevada and ending in Northwest Ohio. Since then she went on to run the digital program for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and the field program for a targeted congressional campaign in Iowa. In 2016, Rachel ran the field program for the House Caucus in Minnesota, managing a record breaking 1.7 million direct voter contacts for the 35 targeted candidates. She returned to Ohio in 2017 as the Training Director at For Our Future Ohio. In 2018, Rachel was a co-director for the independent expenditure coalition Get-Out-The-Vote effort.
She has been trained by the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Wellstone (EmPower), the Race and Equity Institute and more. Rachel holds a bachelor's degree in political science and music performance from DePauw University. Rachel is a proud Columbus resident since 2017 and frequently visits all of the metro parks with her beloved dog.
