Phoebe Romero is a Program Manager at CLEAResult, where she helps organizations conserve energy, leading to financial savings, cleaner air and a more reliable power grid. She is passionate about sustainable development, and believes in the potential of policy and technology to mitigate anthropogenic impact on climate. Prior to her current role, she was an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps Fellow at Huston-Tillotson University, an HBCU focused on environmental justice initiatives. She has interned with non-profit organizations like the US Green Building Council - Central Texas Chapter and Environment Texas to advocate for green building, clean energy and water conservation. Before pursuing a career in environmental management, she worked in bilingual education and interned for human rights advocacy organizations like Amnesty International-Argentina and the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights. She has a BA in Political Science and Latin American studies from Brown University and a Professional Science Master's (PSM) in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development from a dual graduate program with St. Edward’s University and Université Catholique de l’Ouest. Her latest educational pursuit is completing a free, online MBA program with the Smartly Institute, an innovative business education platform focused on providing convenient, accessible content to students around the world. Phoebe is a Mexican immigrant who grew up on both sides of the Texas Rio Grande Valley border and is passionate about making the world a more inclusive place. She enjoys discovering new places, cuddling with her dog and listening to true-crime podcasts.
