Peggy Gustave
U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, Senior Constituent Advocate/Grants Education Coordinator

Peggy Gustave was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She moved to Florida to attend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree.

Peggy has enjoyed a public service career spanning over 15 years where she worked for two great political leaders: Senator Bob Graham and Senator Bill Nelson, two individuals whose passion, dedication, and selflessness to the great State of Florida and its constituents transcends politics.

Peggy is currently employed with the Office of United States Senator Bill Nelson as a Senior Constituent Advocate and a Grants Education Coordinator. In her current supervisory role, Peggy advocates on the behalf of Floridians who become stuck in the bureaucratic red tape of government. Her concentrations and responsibilities include Immigration, Department of State issues, Social Security, and Education.

As a grants education coordinator, Peggy created and facilitated a quarterly forum bringing federal agencies together with officials with municipalities and non-profits organizations to discuss grants opportunities.  She researched and found reputable sources of funding for various community projects.

Peggy also takes the time to volunteer with local organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando and Osceola County.  In addition to helping others and in her free time, Peggy loves to read and travel.

As Senator Nelson was unsuccessful in his re-election bid, Peggy is looking forward to putting her passion and energy to educating and bringing awareness to the immigrant communities of their rights.
