Pearl Gabel is the Digital Director for the New Jersey Governor's Office, overseeing day-to-day strategic communications, visuals, and special projects, and working with agencies to improve the state's digital footprint. Previously, she was Director of Video for the New York City Mayor's Office, concentrating on documentaries and special projects. As a video producer and photojournalist, she worked with the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Reuters, NBCNews, and other news organizations, and was a staff photographer and multimedia journalist for the New York Daily News, covering local, national, and international stories. Her writing, photography, and video projects have been featured in a variety of publications. Pearl is a proud product of New Jersey public schools, attending Red Bank Regional High School before receiving her Bachelor of the Arts in Journalism and Media from Hampshire College and Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University.
