Orlando YNPN, Development/Fundraising

Pablo is a champion of National Service currently focused on fundraising and development in Central Florida. He is originally from Peru, arriving in South Florida as a teenager. His work in Orlando started in Higher Education as part of UCF’s Community Service and Engagement team at the Office of Student Involvement designing and supporting co-curricular learning experiences for student’s successful graduation. He later went on to the Heart of Florida United Way following his passion for national service where he led teams of AmeriCorps volunteers supporting public schools and nonprofits agencies across Orange, Osceola, and Seminole County.  

Pablo’s work in the social sector began in Illinois as Advocacy and Volunteer Coordinator for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and later at DePaul University through Illinois Campus Compact, where he led a team of National Service volunteers working with Student Veterans, first-generation college students, and at-risk youth throughout Illinois. His work with students continued at Chicago Public Schools improving student’s math and reading standards through an after-school program. Pablo ended his time in the Midwest working for the University of Chicago, as part of a team conducting research study surveys for government and private clients.

Before joining the social sector Pablo was a staff member for Congressman Ron Klein’s 2010 re-election campaign in South Florida and worked at a government relations firm in Washington D.C.

Pablo is a member of Alpha Psi Lambda National Inc., a co-ed Latino-based fraternity. He has served on their National Board of Directors and in other roles with the organization where he conducted chapter oversight, facilitated multiple training on risk management, rules compliance, and hosted leadership development retreats across the United States.

Pablo is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Orlando YNPN as the Development Chair, working on fundraising strategies, campaign planning, and writes for the organization’s giving goals. He also supports emerging social sector professionals through their journey in Central Florida. For the past two election cycles, he has been part of Ruth’s List team of canvassers in Orlando working to get more women elected across the state of Florida. Pablo earned his Bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University.
