Orlando Almonte
City of Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs, Language Access Program Manager

Orlando Almonte is the Language Access Program Manager for the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, where he assists in making city services accessible to residents that do not speak English. The work of his office is particularly meaningful to him as a son of immigrants from Peru. Orlando studied Political Science and Spanish at Rowan University in New Jersey. After graduating, he began his career by working for immigrant-serving nonprofits in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia before transitioning into his current role. Orlando serves on the Board of Directors for Young Involved Philadelphia, a nonprofit that promotes active citizenship and emerging leadership among young Philadelphians.

In his free time, Orlando enjoys exploring Philadelphia’s diverse food scene, quoting Seinfeld, and working on puzzles at home with his fiancée and his dog.
