Octavia King is a Maryland native with a background in administrative management and legislative affairs. She is currently working as a federal client services assistant with a management consulting firm, where she assists in business development and project management.
Prior to her current role, she worked as an executive assistant and office manager for Maryland's 4th congressional district. In this role she managed administrative operations and workflow for the District and D.C. offices, and assisted legislative and outreach teams in drafting legislation and constituent correspondence.
Following her role with the House of Representatives, she worked as a legal and litigation assistant at a real estate law firm where she conducted legal research and acted as a liaison for clients to discuss open items, current proceedings, and project timelines.
Octavia is an energetic and driven advocate for her community. Within her community, she works with local organizations to endorse progressive policies and encourage social development. In her free time she enjoys learning about and working in the wine world. On her days off she often serves as a tasting room assistant at a local winery, and she enjoys traveling to try new wines and learn new methods.
