Noor Fawzy is a Palestinian-American and first-generation attorney from Coral Springs, Florida. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Florida Atlantic University, and she earned her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the Florida International University College of Law. She is an Associate at Conroy Simberg, where she is a member of the firm's general liability practice and defends a broad range of clients in cases ranging from automobile accident cases to wrongful death cases. Noor developed a passion for civic and community involvement early on in her youth years. As a college student, she championed various human rights causes, believing that everyone, regardless of their background, is entitled to freedom, justice, and equality. Before starting law school, Noor joined AmeriCorps and was placed at the University of Miami Office of Civic and Community Engagement, where she worked to promote a college-going culture among students at traditionally underrepresented high schools. During law school, she clerked for the Office of the County Attorney of Broward County, where she gained knowledge of various government issues and developed a newfound interest in local government. A long-time Coral Springs resident, she currently serves on the City of Coral Springs Customer-Involved Government Committee, which seeks to bridge the gap between government and its residents and business community. Noor is honored to be selected as a 2020 New Leaders Council Fellow and she looks forward to continuing her civic involvement in Broward County in the years to come.
