Nikishka Iyengar
Founder & CEO, The Guild

Nikishka Iyengar a social entrepreneur and consultant working at the intersection of money, equitable development, climate action and racial justice. She is the founder and CEO of The Guild, a social enterprise focused on building community wealth and resilience through real estate, entrepreneurship programs, and access to capital for historically marginalized communities. She is currently working at The Guild to raise an impact investment fund to invest in entrepreneurs of color and promote economic justice in Atlanta, with the goal of closing the racial wealth gap.

Nikishka is also the owner of Whole Systems Collective, an impact consulting and media collective working towards a just and regenerative economy through two key initiatives — the transformation of our financial systems, and climate action through carbon drawdown and responsible stewardship of our natural resources. Previously, as a sustainability consultant at a top management consulting firm, she helped her clients unlock ~$1B worth of value from renewable energy, water stewardship, and emissions reduction opportunities. Then, as a product manager at a waste tech startup, Nikishka built software (including artificial intelligence products) to allow companies to uncover waste diversion opportunities within their supply chain and operations.

Nikishka is a 2018-2019 RSF Social Finance Fellow, where she explores how integrated capital — the coordinated use of diverse forms of financial and human capital to address complex social and environmental problems — can be leveraged to build a new economy centered on racial justice, gender equity and environmental sustainability. She is part of the Urban Land Institute's current (2019-2020) Center for Leadership cohort. Nikishka was recognized by GreenBiz as a "30 under 30" leader in sustainability and has had her work recognized in multiple publications including Creative Loafing, Atlanta Magazine, Bisnow, and Curbed. She is a sought-after speaker on social entrepreneurship, sustainability, and on building a purpose-driven career and enterprise. Nikishka has a BBA in Finance, a BA in Economics and an Interdisciplinary Certificate in International Development from The University of Texas at Austin.
