Nigel Johnson is a School Behavioral Health Professional with the Palm beach County School District. He serves as an integral part of support and aid within the continuum of support for behavioral and emotional health for students and staff. Prior to this role, Nigel provided treatment and supervision to emotionally and behaviorally challenged at-risk youth ages 11 to 16 in a therapeutic residential environment. Nigel is passionate about young people and has served actively with his church’s youth department for the past 15 years and has volunteered as a Mentor with the Children’s Home Society for the past four years. Nigel has a passion for serving the lost, unfortunate, and marginalized. Nigel received his Bachelor’s in Health Administration in 2016. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Counselor Education. Nigel’s desire is to combine Behavioral Health with Social-Emotional awareness to create a safer and healthier environment for the populations he serves. Nigel would like to open his own nonprofit organization serving youth that have been abandoned or given up for adoption. Nigel has an optimistic outlook on life and spends much of his spare time with friends, encouraging and uplifting his community, reading, or engaging in educational opportunities.
