Nazbi Mowla Chowdhury
The Florida Senate, Legislative Assistant to State Senator Bobby Powell Jr.

Nazbi Mowla Chowdhury was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL. In the spring of 2018, he graduated from The Florida State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Political Science and Economics, along with a minor in General Business. Throughout his undergraduate experience, Nazbi was determined to advocate for an increase in minority representation on campus through involvement in several student groups. As such, he served on the Multicultural Greek Council as Council Liaison, Student Foundation Board of Trustees, Student Conduct Board, Asian American Student Union Board, and other Student Government related agencies.

Nazbi has several years of experience working in customer service, and areas of community engagement. As an Undergraduate Engagement Assistant with the University libraries, Nazbi helped orchestrate over 20+ events during his senior year and lead presentations for New Student Orientation during the 2017 summer term. Currently, he serves as a Legislative Assistant to State Senator Bobby Powell, Jr. and is looking to involve himself in other local leadership organizations as he transitions into the professional world of politics.

As a passionate advocate for the community and civil rights, Nazbi understands that policy and jurisprudence play a significant role in everyone's lives. Therefore, after his employment with the Florida Senate, he aspires to attend Law School, and then continue his journey to becoming a strong public servant, that will give back to his community.

When he is not working or attending community events, Nazbi enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He loves playing team sports and is an avid reader as well.
