Matt Dannenberg grew up a proud Watertown Gosling. In 2010, he earned his degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from UW-Madison where he was a Badger cheerleader. Since then, he has taken his enthusiasm to community organizing around climate change and democracy. He is a member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and in 2012 started WI Native Vote, a program to increase civic engagement in WI's first nations. His passion for leadership development and civic engagement have been a focus of his career. In the past he served as an adjunct trainer for Wellstone, Democratic Leadership Institute Board member, and as a core team member of the first cohort of WILD (WI Leadership Development Project). Matt serves as Census Director at Wisconsin Voices ensuring strong participation in historically undercounted communities and advancing leadership development at Wisconsin's civic engagement table.
