Marques Moore is an accomplished combat veteran and business leader with a record of exponential growth as a pioneer in the cannabis industry. Marques is currently consulting in marijuana business development, focusing his efforts with minority-owned companies to promote inclusion within the ownership and executive level. As Co-Owner and former Chief Operations Officer of MMJ America, he led business development, operations training, and regulatory compliance processes. During his tenure as COO, Marques successfully managed the retail operations of ten brick and mortar facilities in multiple states that generated over $70 million in revenue. His business acumen aided in spearheading the first vertically integrated medical and recreational marijuana company with cultivation, production, and retail space in Colorado and Nevada. During his tenure at MMJ, Marques partnered with organizations like the National Organization of the Reform of Marijuana Laws to support this effort in overturning non-violent drug convictions. Given his deep industry knowledge of the fast-growth cannabis market, Marques is highly pursued by top universities, such as The Wharton School of Business, Cornell University, University of Southern California, and Georgetown University, to speak about the economic, social, and cultural impacts of the legalization of marijuana. His expertise also has been featured in numerous local and national news outlets. Before entering the cannabis industry, Marques served seven years in the United States Army as a Combat Aviation Officer. During his tenure, he became a decorated Apache Helicopter pilot with experience in non-combat and combat military operations. Marques holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Fort Valley State University where he also earned awards for his leadership.
