A young adult who found public servitude to be the impetus for his love and passion for giving back. Marcus Peoples Jr. was born in Corpus Christi, Texas but moved soon after to the City of San Antonio. He has lived in various cities and states such as Florida, Houston, and Kansas, where he found sports and faith to be his love and passion. Marcus started his journey as an entrepreneur, advocate and student in every sense of the word and found mentorship and service to be at his core. Marcus has been a model and actor since the age of seven, starring in multiple commercials such as Shlitterbahn, HEB, Walmart, Samsung , Amazon, Acura and Academy Sports & Outdoors. Marcus has worked on and been featured in many projects and publications throughout his career while simultaneously being a student athlete for most of his young adult life.

In 2013, Marcus attended Benedictine College on a football scholarship and soon transferred to Texas State University where he walked on to the Bobcat football team in 2014. Marcus graduated from Texas State University in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration. Following graduation, Marcus pursued a second degree where he received his Master's in Public Administration from Texas State University. During his tenure as a graduate student, Marcus found his love for his community being strengthened as he worked under various Council members within San Antonio such as Councilman Saldana, Councilman Shaw and Mayor Nirenberg.

Marcus' thesis was focused on reconnecting recently released inmates with their families and community. Marcus currently resides in San Antonio's District 5, where he continues to serve and help his community members reach their goals and dreams. Inspired by his family, Marcus has always been determined to reshape the stereotypes that hover over minorities within his community. Furthermore, Marcus is beginning his Doctorate in Business Administration at the University of the Incarnate Word this upcoming spring. Alongside his academic journey, Marcus currently works at CPS Energy within Human Resources and constantly strives to be the best role model possible to each of his three siblings.He has been an advocate for his community rooted from humble beginnings and strives to become a vessel of opportunity for all those he encounters.
