Mandi Cambre is a fundraising and communications professional with over a decade of experience in marketing, fund development, grants management, event planning, and capacity-building with for and nonprofits.
A native of south Louisiana, Mandi holds a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Arts with dual concentrations in English Literature and Creative Writing from Louisiana State University. Her professional background spans a variety of sectors and specialties, from hospital administration to grant writing. She spent two years at the Greater New Orleans Foundation, launching and managing the foundation's regional giving day and raising a cumulative $6 million over two years. Since then, Mandi has served in various nonprofit leadership roles and is currently the Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer at Second Harvest Food Bank.
Mandi is passionate about helping to build a community driven by commitment to social justice and equal access to opportunity. She moonlights as an independent consultant, with a focus on helping progressive, small shop nonprofits build capacity and achieve sustainability through fundraising and communications. She also volunteers at a number of organizations across New Orleans, and has a special interest in those serving youth and young adults. She is a graduate of the Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans, the Bryan Bell Metropolitan Leadership Forum, and the New Orleans Business Alliance Economic Ambassadors. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, distance running, her New Orleans dance krewe, and hanging out with her cat and two parakeets.
