Maddison Wilhite is a nonprofit professional with a background in Spanish and Global Studies.
Currently, Maddison works for the Native American Development Corporation as the Outreach Coordinator, working on initiatives to empower Native Americans toward social and economic stability. She often serves a variety of roles professionally, managing social media accounts and acting as a community liaison; she also co-organizes events, including an annual Economic Development and Procurement Conference and the Holiday of Giving. Maddison is a member of the Billings NextGen Network, a social and business-networking group dedicated to building a better Billings; she sits on the BillingsWorks Workforce Development Steering Committee and she often attends a biweekly Spanish language meetup.
Maddison moved to Montana in 2018, relocating from Vermont to pursue a year of national service as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Prior to serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA, Maddison attended South Dakota State University where she majored in Global Studies and Spanish. She served as president of Colleges Against Cancer and organized Relay For Life for three years, transitioning to Logistics Chair her final year of school. She also served as president of the Spanish Club for a period, encouraging other students to appreciate other cultures and push themselves to communicate in another language.
In her spare time, Maddison tries to stay active and take advantage of the magnificent Montana wilderness either in hiking boots, skis, or snowshoes. She cares deeply about our public lands and parks. Maddison carries her passion for positive change in all aspects of her life.
