Kya Roumimper is the Coordinator for Multicultural Student Support and Success and Equity Education at Keene State College. In this role, she supports students' personal and academic journeys, designs and coordinates social justice education programming, and organizes community engagement opportunities to bridge institution and community. Roumimper is a social justice educator working to embolden communities to organize, mobilize, and resist systems of oppression. She stands with intersectional movements of reclamation; working with communities to reclaim identities, experiences, histories, and voices that have been lost, stolen, or silenced. She currently holds a B.A in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from Keene State College and M.Ed in Community Engagement from the Merrimack College in North Andover, MA.
