Kristin Sellers is an emerging professional who aspires to utilize her GIS and data visualization skills for social change. She graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). During her studies, she worked on a variety of community mapping projects and co-organized a conference that explored how GIS can be utilized as a tool for community empowerment and supporting social movements.

Kristin has since collaborated with a team of developers on maps and data visualizations at Hack Oregon, a non-profit that specializes in making data accessible, and is also working on a variety of collaborative cartography projects. When she is not creating maps, Kristin enjoys reading science fiction, drawing, ringing in a handbell choir and discovering new music.
