Khadra Farah

Khadra Farah is a healthcare professional deeply passionate about health policy, global and environmental health, and how information technology is used to transform care. Currently, Khadra works as a patient insurance coordinator at Fairview Health services. She serves as a conduit between providers, health care organizations and patients. Khadra is responsible for verifying insurance claims to ensure providers bill correctly and patients are protected from financial burden. She works across several different service lines and specialties such as Cardiology, Pulmonology, Audiology, Speech, Occupational and Physical therapy.

Prior to her role at Fairview, Khadra worked for one of the nation’s top health informatics corporation, Cerner. At Cerner, Khadra served as an EMR consultant traveling the country supporting high-profile client projects. As a team lead, she assisted with implementing integration strategies and streamlining training workshops for numerous clinicians of all disciplines to enhance end-user satisfaction and improve overall patient care. Grounded in community service, Khadra has consistently shown dedication to the communities in which she’s resided throughout her professional and academic endeavors. Her most notable experiences have been interning and volunteering for Casa De Los Ninos, International Rescue Committee, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and UNC Chapel Hill—Gillings School of Public Health, all in efforts to uplift underserved populations within her community.

Khadra holds a BS in Public Health from the University of Arizona, is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. She is preparing for medical school and hopes to one day be a physician working in medically underserved areas—domestically and internally.
