Kenya Juarez grew up in rural Oregon and graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and History. After graduating, she interned with Cambia Health Solutions and helped drive their message of health care transformation across digital channels.
It was in this role that Kenya slowly started to see that there weren’t a lot of people that looked like her in leadership. And, that people experiencing health care disparities were people that did look like her. After her internship ended, Kenya started working in her current role at Strategies 360 as a Communications Associate. She supports the firm’s clients with social media, digital activism and grassroots organizing to advance their progressive causes.
Kenya is determined to bring lasting change to the communities she grew up in. She’s a fierce advocate for racial equity, health care, and housing. Kenya assisted with the internal and external communications to pass Measure 101 — a statewide ballot initiative that will fund the state’s Medicaid program and ensure access to health care for low-income adults and children across Oregon. She also helped with the digital activism and social media strategy to pass the Prescription Drug Price Transparency Act.
In her free time, Kenya enjoys going to concerts, going to coffee shops and catching a Blazers game.
