Kelly Marble serves as the Marketing and Community Outreach Specialist at Primary Health Care a non-profit community health center. A Minnesota transplant, she came to Iowa for college, and unexpectedly fell in love with Des Moines.
She graduated from Drake University in 2017 with a degree in Public Relations and Internationals Relations, a Spanish minor and a concentration in Public Health. Some may call her course of study indecisive, but she prefers inquisitive.
Through NLC, Kelly hopes to develop her skills and connections to advocate for public policy changes in Des Moines to improve local efforts to combat climate change. In the future, she plans to run for elected office and to pursue graduate education in public administration or public health.
A few fun facts about her are that she speaks Spanish, lived in Colombia for six months and once traveled solo to Toronto for an international art festival based on the recommendation from a stranger she met in Ecuador. In her free time, she teaches Adamantine® Yoga and writes about easy ways to live a more sustainable lifestyle on her blog.
