Julia Harding
Political Organizer, SEIU 2015

Julia Harding is a New York City native who moved to San Francisco in 2018. While pursuing her degree in economics at the University of Connecticut, she became increasingly aware that the "trickle- down" economic theory was still being consumed as a valid framework and of the ever present assumption that a lack of strategy and or hard work is the sole reason why many people are living in poverty.

Currently serving as a Political Organizer for the Service International Employees Union Local 2015, Julia is passionate about educating union members on the economic bottom line of every social issue, while creating environments that allow them to connect the political incentives that drive policy and thus shape our markets, with the structure of their lives. Julia's role also includes lobbying elected officials along with members on behalf of better benefits, and promoting civic engagement among union members.
