Josh Dunn is the new Grants Manager for Tampa Family Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving over 100,000 residents of Tampa and Hillsborough County who are uninsured, underinsured, or otherwise medically underserved. Josh brings with him eight years of nonprofit leadership experience, beginning in his hometown of Atlanta, GA.
Prior to this role, he served for four years as the Executive Director for a community and advocacy center, which supported the Latinx community of Southwest Michigan. In this role, he constructed a team with both the passion and training necessary to uplift the agency as a powerful voice in the community. To ensure the organization's sustainability, Josh diversified funding sources to include both philanthropic dollars as well as earned income opportunities through an immigration legal services program and a bilingual staff training module.
A strategist at heart, Josh is passionate about disrupting out-of-date and discriminatory power structures by rebuilding systems that ensure equitable, meaningful access to services and resources for all - ultimately leading to more authentic leadership representing the true diversity of our community. Josh enjoys learning about language and all things linguistic - a passion he developed at the University of Georgia, from which he holds degrees in Linguistics and Spanish. He is most passionate about supporting families in general, and spending time with his own family in particular.
Josh Dunn is a recent arrival to Tampa, moving in July 2019 with his son Aaron and his wife Mandie. He loves traveling with his wife when they can; enjoying conversation, good food and playing board games when they can't; and re-exploring the world through the eyes of his young son. He is excited to bring his experiences in building and supporting diverse communities to his new home in Tampa.
