Johanna began her undergraduate studies at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens where she double majored in Political Science and English. Her passion for tackling global issues is what eventually led to her adding a minor in International Relations and a specialization in Writing.

She was involved in organizations such as Student Government and the Center for Community Engagement while attending St. Thomas. She represented the university as an Independent College and Universities of Florida Presidential Fellow at the legislative session in Tallahassee during the spring of 2016, where she lobbied for the Florida Resident Access Grant. She also worked for state and local election campaigns during this time. The highlight of her undergraduate studies was her participation in a social entrepreneurship project that took her all the way to Port-de-Paix, Haiti in efforts to highlight a fair-trade coffee cooperative.

Johanna graduated Cum Laude and represented the Spring graduating class of 2016 as one of the commencement speakers by delivering the alumni pledge.

She later earned her MBA in Entrepreneurial Management at Lynn University in May of 2018. At Lynn, Johanna became active with the Social Impact Lab and entered the Lynn University Innovation Challenge. It was an opportunity for students to pitch their venture idea and receive support to get their idea off the ground. While her team did not win the competition, they continue to work on their startup.

Johanna Wilson is currently the Billing Coordinator at Roig Lawyers. She is an active member of her local community and is a member of the Urban League of Broward County’s Young Professionals Network.
