Dr. Erin Feichtinger directs advocacy and outreach work at Together, Inc., a social service organization. Dr. Feichtinger researches social issues like hunger and homelessness in Omaha and designs collaborative programs to solve those issues. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and her Ph.D in Transnational Urban History from Loyola University Chicago. Her dissertation focused on how the legal system made criminals out of the poor in the early modern world. She has taught Special Education in Chicago Public Schools and as a professor of History at Loyola University Chicago and Elmhurst College. Dr. Feichtinger was elected to represent District 2 on the Metropolitan Community College Board of Governors in 2018.
