Eric Jones is a born and raised Floridian. Born in Miami and raised in Blountstown, he considers both places important to his childhood. Eric went on to study Political Science and International Affairs for his undergraduate degree at Florida State University (FSU). After graduation, Eric served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at FSU with PeaceJam Southeast. For two years, he coordinated the coaching program, which allowed FSU students to volunteer with local area schools to implement curriculum based in human rights and social justice.
Continuing with his passion for service, he then served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal West Africa. There he worked with a local health clinic on issues of malaria, childhood and maternal nutrition, and water and sanitation. Once he returned back home to Tallahassee, FL, Eric accepted a position as a program coordinator on in the Center for Leadership and Social Change at FSU. He primarily works with leadership development programs which have been a passion of his since attending the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership program in the 10th grade.
