Program Coordinator, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati
Emily Yellman is the Program Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati, US Bank Club, where she supervises, assesses, and helps implement programming to ensure quality of youth development each day at the Club. She is also the Club’s Trauma-Informed Care Coach, working with staff to create a more mindful and nurturing environment for Club members. Emily is currently in her last year of the University of Kentucky’s Martin School of Public Administration and Policy master’s program. Emily relocated to the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area in September of 2020, after a 13-year stint in Lexington. She graduated from Transylvania University with a BA in psychology, where she served as Vice President of the Honor Society of Psychology, Psi Chi. While in Lexington, Emily served two years as AmeriCorps VISTA for the nonprofit after school program E7 Kids Cafe, after which she spent a year and a half as the organization’s Program Director. Emily’s goal is to remain in the nonprofit youth development sector, developing, implementing, and evaluating programming. She hopes to emphasize trauma-informed care use for building resilient citizens, in order to break the cycles of generational poverty. Additionally, she strives to work with professional and collegiate sports organizations in their philanthropic efforts. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and reading the works of Kurt Vonnegut.
