Elise Giammanco currently serves as the Operations Manager at BNSF Logistics in their Domestic OTR division. She is a logistics guru with a background in International Ocean and Air Operations and Fashion Supply Chain Management. She is studying to get her Customs Brokerage License.
Elise serves as a Board Member and volunteer of the Immigrant and Refugee Women's Program of St. Louis, a program that matches volunteer teachers with immigrants in the population to help them improve their English skills and increase their personal agency and independence. She has recently become involved in Truckers Against Trafficking, an organization started by truckers working with law enforcement to combat sex trafficking in the United States and Mexico. She has over the past decade worked with several organizations on the complex issues within the prison industrial complex, primarily focusing on abolishing mandatory minimum sentencing for non-violent offenders in the state of Missouri and nationwide.
Further diversifying her background, Elise holds Bachelors degrees in Social and Cross Cultural Psychology and Russian Language from Beloit College. You will find her on the daily working on innovative solutions for old problems in the Transportation Industry while trying to boost morale, streamlining processes, and challenging those around her to take accountability for their actions and behaviors. She truly enjoys relaxing with friends, hiking all around the Midwest and beyond, reading her poetry in cafes. She appreciates a finely crafted pair of heels. Elise currently resides in St. Louis with her incredible fiancé and Frieda, their dachshund.
