A native Portlander, Belle Bocal moved back to Maine in 2012 after finishing her master's degree from Boston University in Applied Market Research and Analytics - most notably working for companies such as Forrester, Walt Disney Television, and Warner Bros in Boston and Los Angeles.
Growing up first-generation Vietnamese American and being the first to go away to a four-year college, Belle appreciates the path her education set her on and remains diligent so that she can pay it forward. She does this through her work as a Gift Officer on the Institutional Advancement team at the University of New England.
Belle has over ten years of experience working in the nonprofit sector, is multilingual in English, French, and Vietnamese interpreting for refugee and immigration services through Catholic Charities of Maine and currently sits on board committees for Goodwill Northern New England, the Portland Public Library, and remains involved with the Junior League of Portland, Maine.
In her spare time, Belle enjoys paperback books, tacos, and her shadow around their hometown of Portland is trusty rescue lab mix, Casco. She found spin in grad school and never stopped, proclaiming it the dark, age appropriate "club" workout, even going as far to get Les Mills certified.
