Edwine "Drine" Paul has been serving at City Year Providence since 2014.
She is currently serving as the Impact Director, overseeing the implementation of the organization's Whole School, Whole Child model in six partner schools in Providence, serving over 3,000 students. In her current role, Drine works alongside the Managing Director of Impact to support successful program delivery, growing existing partnerships with schools and assist in the development of the AmeriCorps members and the Impact Managers. Drine is a firm believer in mentorship and the idea that every young person deserves one. As an alum of the City Year program, serving two service terms, Drine continues to serve as a support for her students as a member of the Providence community and feels blessed that her work with City Year has kept her in the state of Rhode Island.
Drine earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Connecticut. She is very passionate about Youth Development, Education and Social Justice and is looking forward to a long career in Education. This past June, Drine completed a 22-week certification course in nonprofit leadership with the Institute of Nonprofit Practice. Drine seeks to continue as a change agent in this sector, serving youth wherever she is.
