Eddie Davenport currently serves as the Executive Director for the Hamilton County Democratic Party. The third largest county in Ohio, Hamilton County has seen sweeping political change in the last half decade as progressive, Democratic candidates have begun to win at the local and countywide level. An organizer and agent of change in local communities, Eddie has worked through multiple political cycles, seeking out first time progressive candidates and causes to push them on towards victory in races previously considered unwinnable. He enjoys creating new and unconventional networks revolving around sustainable progressive change, and works to bring previously unheard voices to the change conversations.
Eddie has worked in regional politics for several years, most notably leading the Hamilton County Democratic Judicial Coordinated Campaign in a monumental 2018 election cycle resulting in historic judicial wins. Previously to that, he worked on campaigns at the city and countywide levels that focused on progressive issues such as criminal justice reform, increased access to public transit, and affordable housing.
Outside of his position as Executive Director, Eddie seeks out new and budding political candidates, operatives, and causes to empower them forward into the budding progressive political scene in Southwest Ohio.
Eddie grew up in the Cincinnati area and is the product of local public schools. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Cincinnati in 2013 and received a Master's Degree in Physiology from the University of Cincinnati in 2016.
