Ebony West
Triangle Community Foundation, Programs and Engagement Associate

Ebony West, a Charlotte native, serves as the Programs and Engagement Associate for Triangle Community Foundation. In this role, Ebony works to establish and strengthen relationships with nonprofit organizations in the region. In addition, she manages the Community Development grant-making program for the Foundation. She also oversees community and nonprofit research for the Foundation and develops opportunities for community learning and convening.

Ebony is a 2016 graduate of East Carolina University, where she majored in Political Science and Communication. Most recently she earned her Master’s in Public Administration from UNC- Chapel Hill in 2018.

Ebony is also actively political and civically, serving as the first black, female President of the Young Democrats of NC in 2017. She currently serves as the organization liaison to the Young Democrats of America board. Ebony has also interned for the International City and County Management Association, Democracy North Carolina, and Congressman G.K. Butterfield and currently serves on the Advisory Board for East Carolina University’s  Center for Survey Research.

In her free time, she loves riding her bike, eating nachos, and spending time with her dog-child, Miss Cleo.
