Dyese Davis is the Deputy Chief of Staff for New Jersey State Assembly Members Eric Houghtaling and Joann Downey. In addition to her role in managing the office, she is responsible for policy development, community outreach, and constituent services for the District 11 Legislative team. Dyese is passionate about creating statewide policy change, especially as it pertains to social issues, which impact the constituents she works with every day.
Through her job and volunteer work, Dyese has developed an interest in housing affordability and stability. She believes that access to housing is a human rights issue and should be treated as such. Dyese hopes that her time in NLC will help her to build skills and connect with various colleagues to address housing issues as the human rights issue that it is.
Dyese presently serves on the Neptune Township Planning Board, the Affordable Housing Alliance Board, and the Board of STEAMpark Inc. She also lends her time to guiding the next generation in her role as Advisor to the Neptune Township Mayor's Youth Advisory Cabinet. She is also pursuing a Master in Social Work at Rutgers University.
