Dina Fico is a Massachusetts native excited to shape sexual and reproductive health in her home state through the field of public health. Committed to advancing reproductive justice, Dina has volunteered with the Eastern Massachusetts Abortion Fund as a case manager and supported people experiencing abortion with the Boston Abortion Support Collective since 2017. Most recently, she began serving as a Community Advisory Board member for Partners in Contraceptive Choice in Knowledge, a state initiative to improve contraceptive access and equity in Massachusetts.

Hailing from the North Shore, Dina graduated from UMass Boston in Women & Gender Studies, BA and recently completed her Masters in Public Health at Boston University. While at UMass Boston, Dina decided to pursue public health after various internships and educational opportunities in Boston, Revere, Botswana, India, and Colombia. After graduating, Dina returned to Colombia to serve as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at the Universidad Minuto de Dios in Bogotá. While in Colombia, she also interned at Women's Link Worldwide, where she conducted research on Latin American laws and policies related to sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Upon her return to Boston, she enrolled in BUSPH as a MPH candidate in Health Policy & Law and Maternal & Child Health. As part of the HRSA-funded Maternal & Child Health Fellowship at BUSPH, she worked on Project EARLY, a study addressing disparities in Autism diagnosis and linkage to care for low-income children in Boston and Lowell. Throughout her MPH, Dina also worked at Fenway Health in HIV prevention research. She completed her MPH practicum at The Fenway Institute as a Health Policy Fellow, working on deliverables to advance LGBTQ+ health.

After 2.5 years at Fenway, Dina left her role as a Project Manager for HIV vaccine clinical trials to travel Italy and film a short documentary about her family. Other creative projects she's pursued include Case Confirmed, a public health podcast series Dina co-founded and co-hosts.
