Crystal Hines is committed to bridging the gap between foster care and successful adulthood through advocacy, policy reform, and service. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. Crystal is currently employed by TNTP, a nonprofit organization aimed to end the injustice of educational inequality. In this organization, Crystal helps to identify talent and helps to create an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workforce. Prior to TNTP, Crystal worked as a Program Manager in Dallas, Texas to end educational inequality in college access through community engagement initiatives targeted for under-served youth and their families.
Prior to her move back home to Oklahoma City, Crystal served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for Zoie's Place in Dallas, Texas. Zoie's Place is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young adults aging out of foster care achieve self-sufficiency. She now volunteers as a CASA in Oklahoma County and has founded, Buried Seeds, a 501(c)3 for-purpose organization that provides mentorship to teens aging out of the foster care system. Her expertise, familiarity with the system, and resourcefulness are a cherished combination.
In her free time, Crystal enjoys traveling the world and learning about diverse cultures. She has traveled to over 26 countries and has a 30x30 goal to travel to 30 countries by the age of 30. Crystal is passionate about her faith, her family, traveling, and serving under-served youth.
