Corinne Hale currently works for Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative, as a writer and content strategist. Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative is a nonprofit health insurance company dedicated to putting members first and pursuing better healthcare. Corinne’s primary role is to create communication campaigns and marketing strategies to engage and educate residents of eastern Wisconsin who may be eligible for federal healthcare marketplace insurance and federal tax subsidies. She is passionate about serving at-risk and vulnerable populations in both domestic and international settings.
In addition to her day job, Corinne has served on the board of directors for Caring for Haitian Orphans with AIDS (CHOAIDS), an orphanage specifically for HIV+ children in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Corinne seeks to continue market and academic research relative to cultural understandings of disease and concepts of health. She is particularly interested in maternal and child health and gender inequalities. Corinne has worked in the non-profit sector since graduating from North Carolina State University in 2014. She believes in lifelong learning and wishes to continue developing her skills in non-profit organization, strategic planning, and fundraising to better serve the organizations she works with. She believes that community-based organizations are imperative to positive change and is excited to work towards a better and brighter future in healthcare.
