Constance C. Luo has extensive experience organizing in communities of color in Houston and Chicago to fight for justice in areas such as affordable housing, Hurricane Harvey recovery, immigration reform, and environmental justice. Her specialty is working with black and brown communities that are historically segregated by geography, language, and local government representation. Constance leads language justice initiatives in Houston to ensure that community members can effectively participate in community meetings and in their local government, regardless of their preferred language. She also leads digital communications initiatives in her organizing work such as graphic design, social media branding, and robotexting/robodialling messaging.
